Audio

Opens from a timer's or an interval's Audio field. Audio assigned to a timer plays uninterrupted across the whole workout, overriding any audio set on individual intervals.

Shared Options

Apply whether you're assigning audio to a timer or an interval.

Audio Selection

Tap No Audio Selected (or the current selection) to open the audio picker.

Shuffle

Randomizes the order of the audio selection when it contains more than one item.

Remove Audio

Clears the audio selection.

Timer Options

Only apply when assigning audio to a whole timer.

Sync Song Changes with Intervals

Advances to the next song each time the interval changes.

Interval Options

Only apply when assigning audio to a single interval.

Resume

When the timer reaches another interval with the same audio selection, Seconds picks up where the previous one left off.

Persist

The audio keeps playing past the end of this interval, continuing until the timer reaches another interval that has its own audio selection.

Examples

Play through a whole set

Assign audio only to the first interval of a repeated list and enable Persist. The audio plays through the whole list and changes when the next set begins.

Play audio per interval

Assign audio to each interval directly. Optionally enable Resume to pick up where the previous interval left off.

Streaming Services

Spotify and other streaming services can play in the background while a timer runs, but Seconds can't change tracks per interval. Changing a Spotify track means switching to the Spotify app — which Seconds would have to do at every interval boundary, breaking up the workout.

Start the music in your streaming app before opening the timer screen, so Seconds configures itself for external audio playback.
