Couch to 5K Week 6 Day 2

Two ten-minute runs sit at the heart of week 6’s second session, separated by a three-minute walk and bookended by the five-minute warmup and cooldown walks — 33:00 in total. Twenty minutes of running, the same as week 5’s milestone, but split once down the middle.

Day 2 builds on day 1’s restart practice, and it’s the last session in the program with any walking break at all, so make it count: run the first block conservatively enough that the second feels achievable from its opening minute. After today, it’s continuous running to the finish line. Shorten the middle walk in the editor if three minutes is more than you need.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I pace two ten-minute runs?
As one effort interrupted by a walk — the same easy pace for both blocks. If block one feels comfortable, you’ve done it right; a fast first half buys you nothing here.
Is this really the last walking break?
Yes — from week 6’s day 3 onward, every session is a single continuous run between the warmup and cooldown walks.
